Hi, I'm Björn Carlsson, aka Bjorn Calder.

I've been writing songs for most of my adult life, but for many years they stayed in notebooks, on hard drives, and in my living room.

I write about life as I experience it — love, loss, memories, hope, and the people and places that leave a mark on us.
 

After losing my wife Ammie in 2021, songwriting became more than a hobby.
It became a way to make sense of things, to keep moving forward, and sometimes simply to get through another day.
 

I write and develop my own lyrics and music and perform with vocals, guitar and keyboard. I use AI as a production tool to help develop instrumentation, arrangements and the final sound, while keeping the original melody and musical direction my own.
 

I've tried just writing a prompt and letting AI make the song. It doesn't work for me. It's like waiting for a red flower to bloom when you planted a yellow one. :-)
 

AI can generate music.
But it can never replace a human being's reason for writing a particular song.
 

If one of my songs means something to you, then it has done its job.
